Fast Dog Cross Country

More paws, more runners, more smiles, more wet noses! Together we are celebrating friendship.

On September 30, in the Bitsevsky Forest Park, a cross-country run with dogs will be held. All runners and dogs are welcome. The 2 km route is unpaved. Deep dirt and puddles are possible, your dog will surely like it!

The cross-country run format implies separate starts. The participants will start in several pairs, each group apart from other groups. Winners and medallists will be selected by their personal time. All the participants will be awarded with an event badge at the finish line.

The track is circular, one lap 2 km, completely unpaved, deep mud and puddles are possible.

Registration

How to register

To register for Fast Dog Cross Country you must complete the online application form and pay the registration fee on Running Community website. During registration enter your personal data according to ID card. Otherwise you will not be able to pick-up your participant packet and bib number. After you have registered, you will receive a confirmation email.

Online registration will close 23:59 September 20. Online registration may be closed earlier if the entry limit is reached.

Registration requirements

  • Participants must be 18 years or older on the race day.
  • You can only participate with one dog. The dog must be kept on a leash throughout the race.
  • All participants are required to pick up their own participant packet 30 September 11:00-13:30.
  • All participants are required to show a government-issued photo ID and original medical certificate stating the participant has no contraindication to running in competition upon picking up their own participant packet and dog's veterinary passport with a rabies vaccination mark after 30 September 2022.
  • Registration fees are nonrefundable.

Participant packet

Participant packet includes: 
• Bib number with timing chip and safety pins. 
• Wristband and clothing bag for clothing drop off.
• Finisher medal.

How to pick up participant packet

To pick-up participant packet you must present:

  • Government-issued photo identity document.
  • Medical certificate stating the participant has no contra-indication to running in competition (medical certificate will not be returned, a photocopy of certificate is accepted upon presentation of the original).
  • Original veterinary passport with a vaccination mark after 30.09.2022.

Medical certificate

Medical certificate must proof that the participant has no contra-indication to running in competition. Medical certificate must be valid in the athlete's country of residence, filled in, stamped and signed by a doctor, and comply with all the rules and regulations enforced in the athlete's country. The certificate must be issued less than 6 months prior to the race.

Certificates will not be returned to the participants. A copy is acceptable upon presentation of the original certificate.

Race Day

Getting there

Metro 
From the metro station Belyaevo, walk along Miklukho-Maklaya Street to the intersection with Sevastopol Ave., enter the park and walk straight along the main path 650 meters.

By car 
Free parking is available on Miklukho-Maklay Street and Vvedensky Street. There is no car entrance to the park.

Facilities

For your convenience, male and female changing tents, baggage storage and toilets are available in the start area.

Start & finish

The start will be divided into several waves. You can start in any wave you want.

Follow directions from race officials and volunteers at all times for a safe and orderly start to the race. Please mind your fellow runners. Please take care not to endanger others or yourself. In order to be able to hear your fellow runners of volunteers we ask you to run without music headphones.

It is forbidden to run with without a dog, with several dogs or with a dog without a leash.

Your net running time will start to be recorded when you cross the start line. Your net time will be registered once your cross the finish line.

After the finish you will receive drinking water.

If you are feeling unwell, please ask for the medical aid straight away.

Medical aid

Medical aid will be located at the start/finish area. Please do not hesitate to contact any medical personnel if you are having difficulties – we appreciate you doing so. If you need medical aid, you may to ask any volunteer or fellow runners to an emergency call for you. 

Results

Your result will be measured with Chronotrack timing system, judges at the finish and the video registration system.

Your net running time will be recorded when you cross the start and finish lines. The timing chip will be issued to each participant before the start. The chip must be attached to the leg with a strap. After the finish the chip must be handed over to the judges.

Within a few hours after the last runner finish you will receive a text message and email with your draft result. The results list will be available online at this website.

Awarding

Awarded men and women who ranked from 1 to 3 place by net time. All participants will receive a finisher medal.
